Local Pick-Up

You may have some local customers who would love to collect their purchase directly from you. They generally know you and where you are located.

There are a few factors to consider when offering local pickup

arranging a convenient time
easy to find your home
your safety & security
customer expectations of a discount
different packaging options

Offering local pickup requires just as much coordination as shipping a parcel so take into consideration all the factors when offering this as an option. You may wish to offer a discount if you charge for shipping or choose to use that cost for the arrangements of pickup. You could use the discount code option and offer a % off or maybe offer a free gift when collecting their order from you. It is completely up to you.

You may decide to offer local pick up on all or only some of your products. Once you have decided you can add information to the product listing to indicate local pick up is available and what to do. We have provided some suggestions below that you can use or adapt to suit your own needs:

Local pick-up: Available to local customers. When ordering tick the Add an Order Comment box and add a comment "Pick up please" - when the order is ready for collection we will arrange a mutually convenient time for pick up. At checkout you will be charged for shipping. In lieu of the shipping rate we offer a small gift to say thank-you.
